Tide Heights Villa
For the villa’s outdoor spaces in Southern California, teak was selected as the primary material, with customized furniture arrangements developed for lounging, sunbathing, outdoor dining, and entertaining. Furniture dimensions, proportions, construction, and detailing were adapted to the scale of the poolside, terrace, and dining areas, creating a cohesive outdoor setting with a balance of natural character, comfort, and durability.
Project Overview
Tide Heights Villa is a luxury private residence in Los Angeles, Southern California. Teak furniture forms the core of the outdoor furniture package, covering poolside lounging, sunbathing, outdoor dining, and entertaining areas. Different furniture pieces were coordinated to create a cohesive outdoor living environment with a natural material character.
Project Scope & Product Supply
The furniture package was arranged according to the functions and spatial scale of different outdoor areas. Lounge seating, loungers, outdoor dining furniture, bar stools, and fire pits were integrated into different settings for relaxation and entertaining. Consistent forms, proportions, and detailing helped create a unified furniture scheme across the poolside, terrace, and outdoor social areas.
Note: Located in a Southern California outdoor residential environment, the furniture needed to accommodate prolonged sunlight and seasonal changes in temperature and moisture. Teak and other outdoor materials were selected with attention to weather resistance, UV resistance, moisture resistance, wear resistance, and easy maintenance, while maintaining comfort and long-term outdoor durability.

For the villa’s outdoor spaces in Southern California, the overall furniture and lighting scheme was developed around teak outdoor furniture, supporting poolside relaxation, sunbathing, outdoor dining, bar areas, and evening entertaining. Furniture dimensions, construction, materials, upholstery, and outdoor lighting were coordinated according to the scale, function, and landscape setting of each area, creating a balanced solution that combines natural character, comfort, functionality, and long-term outdoor performance.
Teak Material & Craftsmanship — Outdoor-grade teak was selected to highlight the natural grain and texture of the wood, with construction details adapted to the form and function of each furniture piece.
Outdoor Construction & Weather Resistance — Construction, connections, and structural details were customized for sofas, loungers, dining furniture, and bar stools to support stability and durability in outdoor conditions.
Upholstery & Comfort — Cushioning, seating comfort, and backrest proportions were refined for outdoor sofas and single and double loungers, balancing comfort with outdoor performance.
Customized Dimensions & Spatial Planning — Furniture dimensions and configurations were adapted to the poolside, terrace, outdoor dining, and leisure areas to make effective use of the available space.
Fire Pit & Bar Area Integration — Fire pits and bar stools were coordinated with sofas, loungers, and tables to create functional settings for outdoor relaxation and social gatherings.
Outdoor Lighting Integration — Outdoor lighting was coordinated with the furniture layout, circulation, and evening-use requirements, maintaining visual harmony with the teak furniture and surrounding landscape.
