Project Overview
The Edge Restaurant & Bar is located at The Rise Resort in Vernon, British Columbia, overlooking Okanagan Lake. The venue combines dining, bar, and lounge functions, with pendant lighting serving as an important decorative and ambient element integrated with the timber architecture and overall interior design.
Project Scope & Product Supply
The pendant lighting package was arranged according to the scale of different dining and lounge areas. Fixtures with varying dimensions and suspension configurations were combined to support the lighting and decorative requirements of dining tables, the bar, lounge areas, and private dining spaces while maintaining consistent visual proportions.
Note: The pendant lighting was designed for a commercial dining and bar environment, requiring a balance between practical illumination and decorative impact. Fixture placement was coordinated with the spatial scale, furniture, and interior materials, while also considering routine maintenance and long-term use.
Design Requirements & Customized Solutions
For The Edge Restaurant & Bar, the pendant lighting solution was customized around the venue’s dining functions, spatial proportions, and interior design character. Fixture dimensions, suspension heights, materials, and forms were carefully adapted so the lighting could provide functional illumination while also serving as a strong visual element within the interior.
Customized Fixture Dimensions — Pendant dimensions were adjusted according to the scale of the dining, bar, and private dining areas to maintain balanced proportions with the furniture and space.
Suspension Height & Layout — Suspension heights and fixture arrangements were adapted to ceiling heights, table layouts, and the intended use of each area.
Materials & Finishes — Appropriate materials and finishes were selected to complement the restaurant’s timber elements and natural interior character.
Dining Table Lighting —
Pendant lights were positioned around dining tables to provide comfortable illumination while creating a visual focal point within the dining areas.
