Project Overview
Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk is a five-star luxury hotel located in the Wafi area of Dubai, adjacent to WAFI City Mall. Rising 51 floors, the hotel combines elements of ancient Egyptian heritage, French art de vivre and the cultural character of the UAE, creating a distinctive luxury hospitality environment.
The hotel features 498 guestrooms and suites, together with multiple dining venues and bars, a swimming pool, spa facilities, and meeting and event spaces. The project required careful coordination of furniture dimensions, materials, finishes and detailing for guestrooms, restaurants and custom joinery, with the products developed to complement the overall interior design and hospitality requirements.

Craftell Home provided customized guestroom furniture, restaurant furniture and custom joinery for Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk, developed according to the functional requirements, design drawings and material specifications of each space.
Note: The project scope primarily covered furniture and custom joinery for guestrooms and dining spaces. Products were customized in terms of dimensions, materials, finishes and construction details to complement the hotel’s overall interior design and meet the requirements of a high-frequency hospitality environment.
Design Requirements & Customized Solutions
The project required customized development of guestroom furniture, restaurant furniture and custom joinery based on the hotel’s interior design, spatial dimensions and material specifications. Craftell Home provided technical development covering construction, materials, finishes, dimensions and functional details, ensuring consistency across different areas while meeting the requirements of long-term, high-frequency hotel use.
Guestroom Furniture Development — Furniture proportions, construction and detailing were customized according to the spatial dimensions and functional requirements of the guestrooms and suites, ensuring integration with the overall interior layout and design.
Restaurant Furniture Coordination — Dining tables, chairs and supporting furniture were developed according to the requirements of different dining areas, with dimensions, materials and detailing coordinated with the restaurant interiors.
Custom Joinery Development — Custom joinery was technically developed according to the design drawings and site conditions, with careful consideration of dimensions, construction and installation details to ensure proper site adaptation.
Material & Finish Coordination — Specified wood, panels, stone, metal and surface finishes were coordinated across the project, with attention to consistency in color, grain, texture and surface treatment.
Functional & Detail Integration — Furniture and joinery details such as connections, interfaces, hardware and functional components were refined to balance practical use with the intended visual appearance.
Engineered Manufacturing & Quality Control — Production was carried out based on approved drawings, materials and samples, with quality checks covering dimensions, construction, materials and surface finishes to ensure consistency across the project.
